New Year, New Query

Location:

Community-Wide

Event Type(s): Literary, Lecture / Workshop
Organization: WriterHouse
Description: Make 2018 the year you land a literary agent. In this seminar, you’ll learn how to find agents who represent your genre, and importantly, how to attract their attention. You’ll get tips for condensing your brilliant book into a 3-4 line description. You’ll write an intriguing bio. Never published before? Don’t despair. There is something about you that will stand out to an agent. Bring a 1-page draft query letter and be prepared to workshop it in a group setting.

About the Instructor: Nichole LeFebvre is an MFA candidate in fiction at the University of Virginia, where she teaches fiction. Previously, she worked as the foreign rights manager at The Friedrich Agency and edited music textbooks at Oxford University Press. Her writing has recently appeared in Prairie Schooner, Paper Darts, Barrelhouse, and Vol. 1 Brooklyn.
