Looking for a fun unique event on Independence Day? Check out the 2:00 PM ringing of the Virginia replica of the Liberty Bell. This is an Independence Day tradition. Local Eagle Scouts will ring the Liberty Bell 13 times; announcing each of the original 13 Colonies. Other patriotic themes include remarks from a descendant of a Signer of the Declaration of Independence, music and singing the National Anthem. The Virginia replica Liberty Bell is located at the Charlottesville Firehouse, 203 Ridge Street, Charlottesville.
