“Justice on Trial: Black Lives Matter Too”

The Chad Cooper Company on Broadway (Times Square) along w/ Soul Tempo Productions presents "Justice on Trial" Black Lives Matter Too - The Play coming to  Charlottesville, Virginia on Friday, December 8, 2017 - 7:30pm at the Martin Luther King Performing Arts Center. Playwright and producer, Chad Cooper has worked with Tyler Perry in “Madea Goes to Jail” (Movie), opened up for Tina Turner on the Oprah Winfrey Show, billed as a National Recording Artist w/ a hit song "I Don't Look Like What I've Been Through" which received national radio play, and has toured national stages plays in over 100 cities US for the last 12 years. Now his latest masterpiece, “Justice on Trial: Black Lives Matter Too” is scheduled to visit Central Virginia.

This Broadway based production is in a courtroom setting where two civil rights attorneys are suing the US justice Dept. for reparations for descendants of SLAVES (African Americans). They bring expert witnesses to the stand to tell their amazing stories including: Medger Evers, Emmett Till, and Harriett Tubman, played by powerhouse vocalist, Alicia Robinson Cooper, who has appeared as the lead vocalist on John P. Kee’s, “The Lily in the Valley” CD release. Also appearing in the production, Soul Tempo, known for their role in the Movie, The Preacher's Wife as well as their national hit song Trust in God, local pastor and University of Virginia graduate, Xavier Jackson, an amazing powerhouse vocalist, and many other Broadway actors. The case will be decided by a mixed raced jury that deliberates the request of reparations for the salve descendants while comparing the Then and The Now!

This production is a Educational, Motivational and Inspirational written and directed by African American Broadway based producer Chad Lawson Cooper. The play will make you THINK and it will bring you to your feet w/ the musical arrangements. EUR Web says it's A Must See!

The Martin Luther King Jr Performing Arts Center was chosen as the host venue because of its ample free parking, public access to its location, acoustics, and the historical significance of the person who the building imprints its name. The Performing Arts Center is attached to Charlottesville High School located at 1400 Melbourne Rd., Charlottesville, Virginia.
