Charlottesville Book Fair

Organization: Blue Ridge Writers Chapter VWC
Description: From the UVA campus to the Korean Peninsula, from the Colonial Era to a future dystopia, from an award-winning biography of Charlottesville’s most famous resident to children’s stories by local favorites, the Charlottesville Book Fair has a book for every reader. The forty participating authors live in Virginia but the scope of their books is global. In addition to local authors, three Virginia-based publishing companies will be at the fair. There will be music, children’s story times, and refreshments. Admission is free.

LOCATION: City Space on the Downtown Mall, Charlottesville, VA

ABOUT THE BLUE RIDGE WRITERS: The Blue Ridge Writers is a chapter of the Virginia Writers Club, Inc., a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization founded in 1918. The Chapter serves both aspiring and published writers in the following region: the cities of Charlottesville, Staunton, Lexington, and Waynesboro, and counties of Albemarle, Augusta, Fluvanna, Greene, Louisa, Madison, Nelson, Orange, and Page.
Membership benefits include: programs and activities to encourage continued growth and development of the writing craft and business of writing; opportunities for interaction between new and veteran writers as well as industry professionals who serve writers; promotion of a member's writing or publishing related achievement; hosted and/or co-sponsored events to serve and/or promote Virginia writers; and, writing contests.
The mission of the Blue Ridge Writers Chapter is to support and stimulate the art, craft, and business of writing, as well as be an advocate for literary arts in the region.
